I need Gunpowder!!!!! so i`m making a mob farm and im getting there… only thing to do is the redstone and i`m done :D

Hi all im going to start playing some FtB and im watching now Docm video`s first to get me updated on all the stuff in it. (already played some but completely clueless so far)
Now my question for u guys is: Do u have any tips/tricks/pointers for me which could help me get started good?
(Also good tutorials on working machines might help)
I hope one (of more) can help me tame this beast :P

And the animals have a house now to :D
Only thing i dont like about it thats its almost higher as my own house :S…(Where the screenshot is taken is my house..)
The big square building in the back is gonna be my farm area :) 1 lvl (melons) done 4 more to go or so:P
oww and all automatic (well do need to pull a lever or 2:P) so no hard labor for this guy..
This all is build btw on the server wich i play on :)
